Now Playing Tracks

carpediemdaily:

There are just some books that really touch us and have a special place in our hearts. But some say, if you love something set it free. Let’s apply this to a book that we really like and anonymously donate it to the local library, charity or hospital. Maybe someone else will share the same sentiment that you have about the book.

(suggested by twistedmisconception)

There is a really nifty website called BookCrossing.com

It’s basically this concept, except before setting it free, you can tag it, and keep track of what happens to it!

I highly suggest looking into it should you ever want to do this.

This fucking Kindle commercial. ‘YOU CAN READ IT IN BROAD SUNLIGHT, THERE’S NO GLARE!’ Do you know what else you can read in broad sunlight because there’s no glare?

d-moskovitz:

BOOKS.

I love how everyone is so up in arms about this Book vs. eReader debate. I LOVE the feel of a book in my hands too, I love the smell and the texture, but I’m sorry, a device that allows me to carry 1500+ books with me without taking up half, or all of my suit case? YES FUCKING PLEASE.

Anytime I travel I have to take about 10 books with me because I never know what I want to read, and my suitcases are so damn heavy it hurts my back.

But the kindle -swoon- it weighs less the a book but it carries so many.

Also, let’s not even mention the number of times books have fallen out of my hands and I lost my spot :|
