Thin privilege is going to a restaurant with friends and/or family and not having to worry about fitting in the booth. Thin privilege is not having to be the one person asking for a table instead. Thin privilege is not having anxiety about being lead through the packed…

I have memorized which of the restaurants I regularly frequent have booths and chairs that fit.  If it’s only some chairs or booths, I will ask for those specifically.

(Generally speaking, chairs without arms or booths with tables that move are best.)

Our Mountain Mike’s is the worst. They used to have bench seating, where you could move the whole bench around (and we always sat at the table against the wall so I could have back support) but then they moved locations and they now have booths and the  tables don’t move. And it’s a squeeze. They have tables, but with bar chairs (high up chairs I don’t trust), and the benches are now in the reserved area only - and it’s my favorite pizza in town. So it’s either the greasy mess at Round Table or squeeze into a booth at MM if we want pizza.

Pine Grove Pizza is pretty bad too. I love love love their pizza but I told mom if we ever eat there again it would have to be take out. The tables are just horrible. Benches that are attached to the tables way to close, no back support. I noticed the one time we ate there I wasn’t the only one uncomfortable.
